Jeff Joyner, a Partner at the firm of Keats, McFarland & Wilson, LLP, centers his practice as an intellectual property attorney in the United States and worldwide. During the course of his legal career, he has had substantial experience in patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, trials, enforcement, and licensing. Jeff also specializes in Internet law, new media law, and entertainment transactions.

Jeff has represented major international electronics companies, technology companies, semi-conductor companies, fashion designers, sports organizations, entertainment companies, consumer products companies, artists and photographers in the development and execution of worldwide intellectual property protection, enforcement and licensing programs for famous trademarks, patents, trade dress and copyrighted works. In particular, he has been very active in successfully litigating lawsuits throughout the United States involving patent infringement, trademark infringement, trade dress infringement, copyright infringement, anticounterfeiting, reverse confusion, dilution, unfair competition, contractual disputes, licensing disputes, domain name disputes and right of publicity. Jeff draws on his extensive experience in intellectual property litigation and trials to achieve novel and significant victories for his clients, including, but not limited to, judgments reaching nine figures by way of settlement, jury verdict, default judgment and summary judgment. He has successfully enforced such judgments against both U.S. and foreign defendants.

He is also representing individuals and companies before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the enforcement and protection of their trademark rights. Jeff has advised entertainment and Internet companies in connection with the drafting of license agreements and marketing agreements.

Jeff has also advised entertainment production companies and talent, including directors, writers, actors, songwriters and music composers in connection with motion pictures and television series that have been produced, distributed or are scheduled to begin production. He has also advised songwriters and composers in connection with publishing agreements with large music publishers.

Jeff has been at Keats, McFarland & Wilson since the summer of 1999 when he established the firm with Tony, Larry, Dennis and Dave, whom he has practiced with since he had joined Baker & Hostetler in 1994.
